light, rain, air

The spirit of volunteering. Giving as the heavens give. I shot this out my apartment window. It was right before a bunch of fog/haze came in. A storm's a'brewing.

new film - "What If?"

This one's been sitting in the backwaters for some time, just waiting to be released. It was made on absolutely no budget, using volunteers as actors and crew. It was one of the more tricky things I have edited as I didn't really know where exactly to go with it. But here it is, hope you enjoy.

Arrrr! Pink be in Me eye!

Lately, at school, I've been looking much like a pirate. I contracted pink eye and was forced to wear an odd looking eye-patch all day as I taught the liddl'uns. The eye doctor told me I would have a puffy, swollen, blood-shot, itchy right eye for another 7-10 days...and that it might very possibly spread to my left eye...yay! He prescribed me two different types of eyedrops, a bunch of pills, and a nighttime cream. Fun stuff. My co-teachers tell me I look like a boxer. The pictures below show my eye as wide as I can open it and my assortment of meds.

typhoon - time lapses

This typhoon's been pretty weak sauce. Not much rain...a bit of wind. Here's a quick piece I put together from the roof of my apartment complex.

at Rush with Eddie

This weekend I got a chance to visit Rush Music Bar near exit 8 of Shinsa Station, Seoul. It's a really nice place that just opened, has a good vibe to it. It belongs to my friend Hanna's brother, Eddie. He's a really cool guy, plays guitar, and knows TONS about music and bands. There are two flatscreens hanging from the ceiling that play music videos non-stop; all different styles of music. There are even little pads of paper at each table that you can write a song request down on. I actually tried tricking him and writing down a song he wouldn't have. I was right, he didn't have it, but within minutes he had already downloaded the music video and it was playing on the big screens!
It's a good place for just chillaxing or (in my case) teaching some friends the basics of photography. Hope you find the time to visit. Good times at Rush!

pig craft

Today's class activity consisted of talking about farm animals and distinguishing between "it's a pig" and "they're pigs." then we made our own cutout pig. Fun stuff.

Concert Night

Recently, Jinny and I went to a really fun concert in Ansan, South Korea. There were many performances from a variety of cultures, and it ended delightfully with a Korean cover band.

시작

And thus begins a journey, starting in Korea and taking me to wherever else along the way. It's a pilgrimage, a learning experience; both in marriage, faith, and career. It's gonna be fun.
